While future Xbox Events are set to detail first-party games it seems that Call of the Sea, which is exclusive to Microsoft systems, will utilize the technology that has been made accessible through the upcoming console.

In an interview, programmer Manuel Fernandez revealed some interesting features that will appear in Call of the Sea in conjunction with the Xbox Series X. The game will be upgradable to the next generation if players purchase it on the Xbox One. While other companies are offering free generation upgrades, players interested by the title will be pleased that they are getting good value especially with the performance the game will deliver on the Xbox Series X. Fernandez has stated that that “The power and performance of Xbox Series X will allow us to offer the game at beautiful 4K at 60fps, leveraging the rich game environments and making the art really shine.” Players will undoubtedly be excited to see a game with a strong artistic style come to life in this frame rate and definition.
It has been confirmed that Call of the Sea will be available on the expansive Game Pass library and with this in mind, it may be popular with Xbox players because of its affordability and impressive technical aspects. However, some players will feel that the upcoming Xbox console will need to deliver higher profile games to sway consumers. It will be interesting to see how the larger first-party games use the technology, particularly with the impressive visuals that Call of the Sea achieves on the upcoming console.
Call of the Sea is not the first game to praise the Xbox Series X and what the console allows developers to do technically. With that in mind, Xbox fans may get several boundary-pushing games in the future and it seems like Call of the Sea will be a welcome introduction to 60fps and 4k gaming.
