RELATED: Call Of Duty: Mistakes Everyone Makes While Playing Warzone 2.0
One feature that has quickly become a trend in Warzone 2 is getting a Nuke, which instantly grants a Champion’s Domination Victory to the player and those in their squad. Aside from a Champion’s Domination, players will also unlock a unique skin only rewarded to those who complete this task. But, to use the Nuke in Warzone 2, players must learn what steps to take while avoiding being eliminated (or heard via Proximity Chat) by rival players.
Unlocking Nuke Contract
Before players can even begin the Champion’s Contract (Nuke Contract), they’ll need to achieve a difficult albeit challenging requirement: win five Warzone 2 matches in a row. And while this task may seem daunting, it prevents players from activating a Nuke every match, thus winning instantly. Players can achieve this with or without a squad, but most importantly the Warzone 2 wins must be consecutive. So, even if a player achieves the already demanding task of winning four matches in a row, they’ll have to start again if they lose the following one.
Players that are new to Warzone or the Battle Royale genre will want to practice before jumping into the Nuke Contract. Fortunately, DMZ is an excellent game mode to practice since it has most of the features found in Call of Duty Warzone 2. Additionally, players will want to use the best perks and loadouts to have an advantage over rival players. An excellent tactic for securing a Warzone 2 victory is playing cautiously and avoiding other players until the final Gas Circles. Once players have their 5th consecutive win, the following match will have the Champion’s Contract.
How To Complete Champion’s Contract
As soon as players jump into their 6th match, they’ll notice an alert that says Champion’s Quest Initiated, which means players are ready to start the Nuke quest. Players will also notice three Champion Icons on their mini-map, indicating where players must go to progress the Champion’s Contract (the location change every time, so players are free to land anywhere in Al Mazrah). The main goal of this contract is to pick up three chemical ingredients, find the Nuke site, and active it.
Ingredient: Beryllium (Be⁴)
One of the three ingredients players will need to locate is Beryllium. As soon as players pick up Beryllium, they’ll appear on the map for all players in the lobby. That’s why it’s a good idea to have a vehicle on hand, like a Heavy Chopper or LTV.
Ingredient: Plutonium (Pu⁹⁴)
Plutonium is the other chemical ingredient Warzone 2 players will need to locate during the Champion’s Contract. Players that grab this ingredient will suffer a “radiation leak,” meaning they’ll take damage over time (unless they manage to pull off the God Mode glitch). Additionally, any player (allied or not) will also be affected by the radiation leak.
Ingredient: Tritium (T³ᴴ)
The final ingredient to arm the Nuke in Warzone 2 is Tritium. The negative effect of holding Tritium is a personal counter UAV (only affects the holder).
Arming the Nuke
Once players gather all three ingredients they’ll be able to see where the bomb site is located (it’s generally near the last ingredient). But, while players head to the bomb site there will be a Jailbreak, meaning any player that is dead or in the new revamped Gulag will automatically redeploy onto the map. Players must combine all three ingredients into the bomb site and then wait 2 minutes before it detonates.
At this point, the entire lobby knows where the bomb is located and can defuse it (takes 30 seconds). So, players will need to defend it for 2 minutes to achieve the Champion’s Domination Victory. Once the timer reaches 0, the Nuke will drop, and players will win the match in style.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
