While it may seem odd, this is far from the first appearance of Snoop Dogg in Call of Duty. The rapper made his first became part of Call of Duty in 2014 as a DLC voice pack for Call of Duty: Ghosts. He has since been featured in Call of Duty: Warzone, Call of Duty: Vanguard, and previous seasons of Call of Duty Mobile. Snoop Dogg has not shied away from expressing his interest in video games as he has also done his own livestreams of games like Madden NFL 21.

Much like previous seasons of Call of Duty Mobile, the 11th season, titled Ultimate Frontier, will have a theme. Season 11 has a holiday theme, but with a cosmic twist that will also offer space-themed unlocks. At the forefront of this season is Snoop Dogg, highlighted in a recent trailer in his newest Santa Snoop Operator Skin alongside a Legendary Holiday Lights Weapon Blueprint for the RUS-79U. New skins will also be available for Operators Woods and Grinch as well as Weapon Blueprints for the Krig 6, Holger 26, and the upcoming EM2 assault rifle returning from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Ultimate Frontier launches at 4 PM Pacific Time on December 14.

Similar to season 2 of the free-to-play battle royale Fall Guys, Call of Duty Mobile’s next season will also include space-themed items and unlocks. These will include the Astronaut skin for Operator Mil-Sim and the Comet Seeker skin for Operator Silver. Some in-game weapons will also be given the celestial treatment such as the Martian Munitions Weapon Blueprint for the AGR 556. All of these unlocks will launch alongside new seasonal challenges and the new 12v12 mode Ground War 2.0 in which teams will battle using the new War Beast Tank.

With the continued support of Call of Duty Mobile and the recent limited release of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, it is clear that Call of Duty has found a new home on mobile devices. However, unlike a game such as Fortnite, Call of Duty offers mobile players a different experience from their PC and console counterparts rather than simply a port of the game. Fortnite’s crossovers of licensed characters from across the realm of pop culture have helped give it the kind of exposure that Call of Duty Mobile may never reach, even with the appearance of someone like Snoop Dogg. Despite this, it is clear that Call of Duty Mobile players will not be running out of content anytime soon.

Call of Duty Mobile is available for Android and iOS devices.
